What's happening weirdos?

This is the incredible Byron Katie.

For those of you keeping up with the podcast week by week, we spent last Friday, Valerie

and I on We Made It Weird, the new Friday installment of this podcast.

Basically, talking about the work of Byron Katie, the work is a process of self inquiry

that Katie discovered, basically, when she had her own self realization moment, that

we sort of allude to in this conversation.

I want to cover a little bit of this before you hear it, just because I wouldn't say this

is like an introductory talk.

We sort of dive right in, so I want to give you some of the basics.

Like 30, maybe 40 years ago, Katie was so depressed, so anxious, so toxic, so angry that

she literally found herself away from her family, her husband, her children, and placed

in a halfway house where literally the other patients were afraid of her.

So afraid that she was going to physically harm them, that they put her or emotionally

harm them.

I'm not sure what they were afraid of, but they put her in the attic, basically.

They were scared of her, so she had her own private area in the attic.

And very similar to another wonderful teacher of mine, and so many of us at Cartole, she

basically had a breakdown, a breakdown of her ego, of her sense of self, and it just

went away.

In Cartole's words, he could no longer live with himself.
