Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Now let's be clear, everyone, I don't have a mission.

The mother of God has been given the mission to crush the head of Satan, and she does it by her

heel, and that's us. So this is her mission to spread the rosary and to gather people around her in prayer and conversion and friendship.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Let's call to mind all those we are promised to pray for.

In 701 BC, in the days of the kings of Judah in Israel, when Hezekiah was king of Judah,

Seneca king of Assyria invaded Judah. Now Assyria was at this time one of the superpowers,

and nation after nation had fallen before their armies.

So Seneca Reb sent three of his big guns,

the Tartan, the Rabsorist, and Rabshaka to Jerusalem. And these three came and stood at the

entrance to Jerusalem and began to taunt the Jews. Rabshikah yelled up at the soldiers on the wall

and told them to give a message to King Hezekiah,

that they would be foolish to put their trust in their God.

And then he started listing all the other nations

who had tried to put their trust in their gods.

And all those nations and cities and peoples, they had all fallen before Assyria.

So if the Jews had any sense, said the Assyrian general, they wouldn't make the same mistake.

They'd surrender now.

But Hezekiah didn't answer this challenge. He didn't say a word. What could he say?

On the surface of it, everything the invaders had said was true.
