Now, let's begin reading here in Isaiah the 53 chapter, and we'll begin reading in this first verse, Isaiah 53, 1.

It says, who has believed our report, and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

Now, what did we discover, friends, about this verse?

To whom is the arm of the Lord or the power of God revealed?

Those that believe the report.

Those that believe the report. Those are the ones that have the arm of God

or the power of God revealed to them.

Verse 2, for He shall grow up, and we know this is talking about Jesus from other New Testament scriptures that say so.

He, Jesus, shall grow up before him as a tender plant, as a root out of a dry ground.

He has no form nor comeliness, and when we shall see him, there's no beauty that we should

desire him.

He is despised and rejected of men.

A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.

Now, we said that word sorrows there, and the word grief is found also in verse four.

It's also found in verse 10.

But this word in the Hebrew, actually in the same King James Bible here, is translated in several other places, pains instead of sorrows, and sicknesses are disease or diseases instead of grief.
