We begin yesterday talking about by his stripes.

What does it mean by his stripes?

We're healed.

You know, we need to be careful that we don't just think we know.

And we don't just get dull of hearing concerning something that's familiar to us.

So many times people are looking for something new.

Well, I've heard that.

I know that.

And they're looking for something else.

But I want you to know there's enough power in that word by his stripes you were healed to heal every person in this room, every person in this state, every person in this country, every person on this continent,

every person in this hemisphere, every person on this planet, enough power in that word

right there, by his stripes, ye were healed.

So let's begin again studying Isaiah 53.

We'll begin at this first verse, and we'll read through the chapter.

The chapter is not that long.

And, you know, so many times if we're not careful, we'll just take a verse or two out of a chapter

and won't really be familiar with the chapter. And so many times understanding the verses before and the

verses after have great effect on your understanding of the verses that you were familiar with.

I know I've gotten a lot of light out of a verse that I had taught and preached. But then having read the whole context, the whole chapter and book around it again,

I saw it in a different light.

And no one has ever exhausted all of the light and the truth from any one verse of Scripture.

God's word is alive, isn't it?
