All right. For you, Maryland basketball fans, if you stayed up last night, the game tipped off after midnight Eastern.

I did not. I recorded it and woke up at, you know, my normal time, which is far too early.

Not really too early, I would say. A lot of people get up that early.

And I watched it this morning. Maryland last night out in Vegas beat UNLV in basketball, 74 to 67.

It was one of those early season holiday college basketball games between two teams with a lot of new players that was really at times hard to watch.

Maryland had 15 turnovers in the first half, ended with 20 turnovers in the game, and

one by seven.

I mean, that just typically doesn't happen.

By the way, they're big guy, Farrell Payne, who you know, had this gruesome looking

fall in a game

a week and a half ago at Marquette

in the game that the Terps won,

and everybody thought he's done, he's done,

he was back last night.

Let me tell you something. They would be

in for a long, long season

without this guy. He is there one big

that can do it. He is 6-10 athletic, a rebounder. If you followed him, started at Minnesota,

was at Texas A&M. He had 20 last night, eight rebounds in the game, and really without him, I don't know who would grab a rebound.

But they got some players.

There's some guys, this guy Coit, who had 41 last week against Mount St. Mary's.

They got Miles Rice back last night.
