All right, joining me right now, the head basketball coach at Maryland, Buzz Williams.

The Terps have won two in a row. They beat Minnesota on the road last Sunday, and they beat Iowa.

The other night in College Park, Iowa had won six games in a row.

Coach, it hasn't been the easiest first year at Maryland, but your team's played hard all season long, and now you've got something to show for it with back-to-back wins.

Sometimes coaches will say they saw the good wins coming. Sometimes they'll say it was a complete surprise.

What about you in these last two games?

Well, I think, and I've tried to say this, even during losing,

I have great respect, Kevin, for the resilience of our players. Some of the things that have

transpired are 1,000 percent of Buzz Williams' fault. Some of the things that have transpired

have been out of our control. And our group has shown up every day, and our staff has been very thoughtful in finding margins

for us to compete in in this process. The results haven't been what we want or what we need

or what everyone expects, and we're very aware of that.

But in 2026, after all the things that have transpired with 15 new players and everybody brand new,

from the keep showing up despite the results I'm very appreciative of.

And I did not necessarily forecast, oh, it's going to do this or it's going to do that.

But I did think that in some of the invisible margins that we're competing in,

there has been improvement.

And I think that our execution of those things have become more consistent.

Our talent is not going to change, but what can change is the spirit in which we compete

and the execution of how we have to play to give ourselves a chance.
