about making trades. And one of the big themes that we've had all year is price enforcing

on veterans. The recent surge of Ketel Marte has driven his OPS over 100 points in just two weeks.

We talked about Trey Turner in previous shows, Raphael Devers in previous shows.

Guys who were all-stars who just eventually will figure things out and find a way.

And maybe Fernando Tatis might never hit a home run again.

We don't know.

But the one thing I do feel pretty good about is that eventually Mani Machado will start

to get hot.

And if you look at the baseball Savon Page right now for Manny Machado, it's not great. I want to trade for him regardless, though. I understand as expected batting averages 221. I understand as expected slugging is 366. But this is a guy that annually is very, very consistent. Well, his OPS is usually right under 800. He's going to hit 25 home runs every year. I don't know if it's a different baseball in San Diego or what the heck is going on there. All I know is Mani Machado isn't done. He's not toast. He's just 33 years old. He's not 38 years old. I'm not worried about him falling off the map. Now, he still does have eight home runs on the season. So that is kind of encouraging. There's been a lot of bad luck in there, too, potentially too, with the Babbitt. But I think you eventually look at Manny Machado as the next guy in this list of veterans and all stars that we look at annually and say, those are building block players. They're good at baseball and just buy them on

principle. I think buying Mani Machina on principle is a smart thing to do. Who do you want to buy

this week with all the principles that you have? Well, I am going to take advantage of a couple

bad starts. A couple bad starts that have moved Nolan McClain's ERA up over four because Nolan McLean had not seen a single

start this year where he'd given up more than three earned runs. His last two starts,

he's given up 13 earn runs. As a matter of fact, 13 of his 20 total this season, obviously, they popped up. Or actually, I think I looked at
