Okay, this is Charles Neal and I'm back with another southern slang of the week.

And this week an expression and this week Southern slang is well butter my butt and call me a biscuit.

And the official definition of this is an expression of astonishment upon learning something unbelievable, usually

positive.

And because we're talking about Butter My Button called me a biscuit. The reason that's positive or could be

positive for you because something could happen to you and it was just

astonishing for you that somebody did something nice for you and they helped you do something and it just made you feel wonderful.

You know, it's kind of like getting a wonderful Christmas present or something that you didn't know that you were going to get and you might say good God butter my butt and call me a biscuit.

I sure am going enjoy what you gave me,

and this is going to help me with everything that's going on.

And it could also be that somebody helped you progress and get better at what

you do with your work and it made you do better and you got a promotion and you might tell that person that helped you say well butter my butt and

call me a biscuit I sure do a priest that you've helped me you know move along

in my career and it sure was nice of you. So, you know, that might

be something that you used to, this southern slang with, butter my butt and call me a pistol.
