This is But Why, a broadcast for curious kids.

I'm Jane Lindholm.

For seven weeks this spring, we're bringing our podcast to the airwaves for live radio

shows in collaboration with Vermont's Agency of Education to offer kids who are out of

school a chance for your own call in radio show.

And if you live in Vermont and surrounding areas, you can listen on the regular old radio,

no internet connection necessary.

Last week we learned about two animals that are very active at this time of year, bats

and beavers.

At the very end of the show, we gave you a little homework assignment that we hoped would

be fun.

We asked you to write a poem.

And if you want to, you can read it during our show today.

We're going to offer you some fun ideas to get you inspired to write a poem during the
