What does an Ultra Runner look like? Sometimes it looks like Mirna Valerio! Mirna, "The Mirnavator," is busting expectations and stereotypes and she's on a mission to make trail running, fitness and the outdoors accessible to all. She and Joe De Sena talk about some of the challenges and rewards of being an unconventional runner.  "I feel my most human out on the trails." Well, I think that motivation is one thing, but it is fleeting. You can't depend on motivation to do anything.

Like half the time, I'm not motivated to get on my bike, to go do my physical therapy, to do my

personal training sessions, I am not motivated because I'm tired or something is

happening in my world that just makes me not want to do it.

But it is all about discipline, right?

So you have to make a decision that, okay, even though I'm quote and quote out of shape, I'm going to make, I'm going to make a step. I'm going to take a step towards not being out of shape.
