All right, welcome into breaking balls. Just a couple of things this week, because we're going to bring in Buster

only of ESPN, longtime colleague, covered the Orioles, the Yankees. I think the Padres as well, even before

the Orioles. Then around Major League Baseball, a long time, one of the absolute best in the business.

And someone that on some level I had to compete against for some years, you know, just because

he covered the Yankees. But Buster, one of the most informed, intelligent, educated baseball

guys in the country. So we'll talk to him about the national perception of the Red Sox,

some interesting stuff there. And with regard to the team, I know this gets redundant. There's not a much that

has changed. There was one notable thing to me in the last week that I noticed both, you know,

internally behind the scenes and also outward publicly when Sam Kennedy did his weekly interview

on WEEI, our competitor,

who obviously a WEI has the rights to Red Sox broadcasts.

And Sam Kennedy acknowledged that there comes a time when the team has to pivot

and do something different because what we're seeing on the field is not working.

And that to me is an admission that the 2026 season to this point has been a failure.

I think the Red Sox finally acknowledge that, that this isn't going to turn around.

They fired the manager.

They put a new staff in place.

They got rid of the offensive coaches, all of that stuff.

And the team is really no better than it was at the start of the year.

To me, this is on many levels a death knell for Craig Breslo.

Because barring some sort of incredible, dramatic, unforeseen turnaround,

it feels to me like the Red Sox are acknowledging that he failed in the building of the
