Friday, June 21st, 2024, I'm Taylor Riggs. The first presidential debate is next week,

and Americans will be listening closely for each candidate's economic vision for the future.

All is the economy remains a top issue for 2024 voters.

You can look at the polls, they're looking to hear about when inflation is going to come down.

They're also looking for the condition of the economy going forward, you know, specifically related to the economy.

I think that voters are looking from the candidates as to what the best plan is to get prices

to actually come down. President Biden and former President Trump will face off

next week in the first presidential debate of 2024, the latest Fox News poll in June tells us

that the economy will play a significant role in the vote for president.

More than half of the respondents surveyed said that they are feeling pessimistic about the economy.

Not only that, but these same voters say that the state of the economy is among the top two most

important issues to them, all as they weigh their choices of

candidates. The White House has been pushing an economic message for months that

they've branded Phytonomics. They say it's aimed at empowering the

middle class. One pillar of this has been the president's student loan

forgiveness plan with about a hundred and sixty seven billion dollars in loans already canceled.
