This Independence Day, we're looking at whether the fireworks can continue for Wall Street

The market has shifted from pricing in like a near certainty that we were going to have

a recession back in April to now realizing that, oh, okay, that placard and the Rose Garden,

those numbers, those were a starting point for negotiations,

not the ending point. We've seen Liberation Day tariffs, a U.S. credit-downgrade bond market

worries conflicts in the Middle East, and the Trump tax and spending package, but the economy

has remained fairly resilient through it all. President Trump argued the financial pressure of

Liberation Day tariffs would be temporary and worth the economic reward for America. Since then,

the Trump administration has secured a few trade deals, first with the UK, reported progress with

China and the EU, and earlier this week, a deal with Vietnam was announced.

For America's trading partners who have not yet struck a new trade deal, those Liberation

Day tariffs are set to unpause next week, and the president told Fox News that his administration

has no plans to extend the deadline. Investing is never without risk and uncertainty, but the stock

market indexes have notched record highs this quarter, despite plenty of volatility,

resulting in some satisfied retail investors who hopped in when stocks pulled back in April.
