Premier League clubs vote to block potential Newcastle United sponsorship deals. There is some

incredible detail on the piece that Daniel Sheldon has written on the Athletic and he will

join us, as well as sports lawyer Daniel G to discuss the various legal ramifications, the wider context as to how

it got to this point and what could come next for all clubs. No Matt this week, he's away,

but we'll also discuss his piece on the battle to share the Premier League in the US, the athletics

Felipe Cardenas, who co-wrote the piece, joins us from Atlanta.

So we'll start with the fallout from that remarkable Premier League meeting on Monday

where club executives moved to block Newcastle United from making lucrative sponsorship deals.

Premier League clubs have passed a temporary amendment that bans commercial opportunities

involving pre-existing business relationships, known as related party transactions. Meanwhile,

Newcastle's new owners have sacked Steve Bruce. As mentioned, Daniel Sheldon and Daniel G

are both with us. Daniel from the
