from an Argentinian-born entrepreneur who became the first Latin American woman to lead a company

to unicorn status. It's cute. It allows me not to have to explain why they need to pay more

attention to me when I talk. For many, that billion dollar valuation would be the pinnacle.

But for Silvina Moskini, it was just another step in a career that has defied expectations and doubters along the way.

What drives her, a desire to lift up other aspiring female entrepreneurs,

who can all too often be overlooked for investment,

promotion and at the boardroom level.

For other women, you cannot be what you cannot see.

Silvina Moskini is a woman on a mission, moving to the Big Apple of New York in the US from a small town near Buenos Aires in Argentina in the late 1990s.

She honed her skills in PR and marketing,

carving out a successful career in the field. But something didn't quite sit right with being a

small cog in a big wheel. She wanted to get things moving herself and so left the relative

safety of corporate America to set out on her own. Now, more than 20 years later, she's at the head of several successful tech, social media and

marketing companies.
