And today on Business Daily, we're meeting a man right at the center of tackling many of the world's most intractable crises.

But you've probably never heard of him.

You know, for me, personally, I've always had this

drive that the world gets changed by small, small changes you can make. So I think every morning

I have that drive and that's been there forever. I go today and try to do something to make a

difference somewhere, you know. Jagann Chappaghan Chappagain, the head of the world's largest humanitarian network, the IFRC,

is talking to us here about his life, his work, and how best to prepare for climate change.

We started when I was in high school.

When I was very young, I come from a very humble family and humble background.

For me, my interest was to do something good and maybe working at the community level,

mobilise the power of young people, getting into a bit of a leadership type of role.

This is Jagan Chapagane. His rise from humble origins in a small village in Nepal to

becoming the Secretary-General of the International Federation of the Red Cross is the stuff

of dreams for many people. It was, he says, driven by his own early fascination in politics

and a clear sense that he had to do something with his life.
