Last week, the Financial Times and Schroeder gave out their prize for the best business book of the year.

And the winner was a book about the company that has dominated headlines this year, Invidia.

The book is called The Thinking Machine, Jensen Huang, Invidia, and the world's most coveted microchip.

And it was written by Stephen Witt.

My colleague Andrew Hill, who's the FT senior business writer, has been in charge of running the book award since 2005.

And last week, he interviewed Stephen from our London studio.

I had the chance to sit in on this interview, and I found it completely fascinating.

You're going to learn a lot about NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang and the guy beyond the black leather

jacket.

I'm delighted to be joined by Stephen Witt, author of The Thinking Machine,

and we're talking only hours after Stephen won the F.T. and Trudez Business

Book of the Year award. So, Stephen, welcome, and congratulations. Thank you. It's a real pleasure

to be here, and I'm really honored to have won the award. Well, it's a spectacular bit of work,

the book. I've called it a sort of hardcore business book. Lots of research into Nvidia, the company of the moment,

and particularly Jensen Wong, the founder and chief executive of Nvidia.

Just in your own words, tell us a little bit about the project that you undertook.

Yeah, so it actually completely grew out of my own conviction that Chat, GPT was going to replace me.
