Thank you. is here for some coffee talk, but first, let's get you caught up. Today, a Seattle City Council Committee will vote on a five-year business plan for the

office that supplies are water, Seattle Public Utilities. That includes proposed rate increases

for water, wastewater, drainage, and solid waste services.

The average proposed rate increase is about 5% every year until 2030.

If the committee approves the plan today, it moves on to the council for a full vote.

Not to jinx anything, but it looks like the hottest days of the summer are behind us, at least for now.

Yesterday's overcast in rainy weather was not a one-off, according to the National Weather Service.

Things will stay pretty cloudy for the next few days at least.

So far, this month's average temperature has been slightly higher than normal, but it's predicted to level off in the next few weeks.
