Because this week they've replaced the famous black cat logo near the stadium of light with a black dog.

Now, many of you might know, the Black Dog is a common metaphor for depression.

And this subtle change is designed to do

I think exactly what it will do and that spark conversation because Life Score is raising awareness

ahead of mental health awareness week as the North East has the highest suicide rate in England.

Now the foundation of light is the official charity partner of Sunderland and they run this

unbelievable suicide prevention project called a game of two halves. Now the game of two half offers

to train men age 16 and over to become mental health ambassadors. They help reduce that stigma

and signpost support where it's needed. And listen, the message at the heart of this campaign is simple.
