Summary

*UPDATE: Just hours before this video was to be posted, it was announced, with much fanfare, that the section of I-10 damaged by fire went from "closed indefinitely" to "open immediately." That said, changing the re-opening date from "whenever" to "weeks ahead of schedule!" in no way alters the criticisms and concerns laid out in this episode. 10, which is one of the main arteries in the city of Los Angeles, it is in fact the main east-west

concrete. It just doesn't burn. But yes, it does. If you get enough fuel underneath it, they showed

1:09.9

the support columns for the under part of this freeway, which goes through just south of downtown, and all of the concrete is cracked and flaked off, and you can see the rebar. It's done. It's finished. As it turns out, guys, the reason this happened was because apparently, despite some sort of laws that exist in this place,

1:29.4

the city of Los Angeles farmed out something to some other company in order to get the revenues

1:34.3

that allowed them to lease the space underneath freeways, which they stored higher and higher and higher and higher and higher and higher and higher with flammable objects,

1:45.0

and then coupling that with the arrival of huge numbers of homeless people,

1:50.0

the thing was essentially just a catastrophe just waiting to happen.

So Steve, I know you saw the story was on Instantamundit.
