Except this week, I'm interrupting our regularly scheduled weed history lesson for a fan favorite format.

That's right. It's another edition of

Burning Questions with Bean, where I offer heartfelt and or hilarious guidance to random people

who posted cannabis advice questions on Reddit. And this time I'm joined by Mary Jane Gibson, a journalist, media maker, friend of the pod,

and a very rare returning guest here on great moments in weed history. Mary Jane and I met way back

in the day while working together at High Times Magazine, yes, say it with me back when it was cool.

She's since gone on to become a distinguished journalist, frequently covering weed for Rolling Stone,

where this summer she also contributed an incredible and somewhat heartbreaking, long-form investigative

article titled My Best Friends Murder, in which she sought answers to some

very big questions 20 years after witnessing a senseless killing that became a tabloid sensation.

Or you may know Mary Jane as the creative voice behind my sandwich, my choice, a substack and series of social media

videos where she takes on important women's rights issues while making mouth-watering sandwiches.

What's the connection there? Well, it all started when some dumb fuck internet troll told her,
