Imagine it's 1909 in Brooklyn, New York around 9 a.m.

You're walking along through an Italian neighborhood,

munching on an apple for breakfast.

Suddenly, you hear something.

It's coming from the next block over.

You look up, and above the roof line you can already see smoke,

thick brown clouds.

You start running, but you know immediately where it's coming from.

People have been calling that factory a death trap for years.

You rush off and, sure enough, the factories engulfed in flames,

They're screaming and shaking the bars like rabid apes in a cage.

Luckily, people start arriving with ladders from another nearby factory.
