Some are just silly tidbits of family lore,

like Aunt Helen wears a wig,

or Uncle Duke has six toes, just entertaining gossip shared around a dinner table.

Other secrets are more serious and perhaps downright dark.

These types of secrets stay locked within families and dare not be spoken
