I think most of you know that I'm an extremely proud Kansas City native,

as many of you are that listen to KKHI.

And because we're extremely proud and lifelong or long time Kansas City residents,

there's a special thing we get to do when it pertains to Kansas City.

And that is we get to kind of say and think things that maybe we wouldn't let people

on the outside say or think or certainly wouldn't appreciate it if they did.

I've done this from time to time on the podcast, and you've heard it.

And I'm going to start with it today because I really don't know what to make of the fact that Kansas City,

a week out from Thanksgiving for crying out loud, I mean, a week out from Thanksgiving,

holidays coming up, so many things going on, so many important things going on in

the world. Maybe the headline here is Kansas City is officially declared COVID over because this

city's obsession with the first Waterburger opening is one of the strangest things I've ever seen.

I've seen a lot of odd things. I've seen a lot of things come and go. I've seen people get excited when, you know, Jack in the Box comes or a new restaurant opens or this or that. And you never know how they're going to play out long term. We see that, but this is completely different. There's going to be an onslaught of these restaurants around the Kansas City area, St. Joseph, and I think throughout Kansas and maybe even Missouri, of course,

the headline, the big part of the Waterberger success story or obsession anyway with people in Kansas

City is that Patrick Mahomes has formed a company or as part of the ownership group of Waterburger.

But we are so crazed for this, this Waterburger opening in Lee-Sum.

And I've had Waterburger many times.

Not for a long time, but I've had it many times in Texas and in Arizona.

And it's good.
