Hello super great kids and how are you?

I hope you've got lots of reasons to be cheerful.

One of my reasons to be cheerful right now is that soon it'll be Friday, which I like to call

Play Date Friday because I usually get together with friends and have a play.

Yes, grown-ups like to play too when they get the chance.

And another reason to be cheerful today is that we have a storyteller from Australia today.

He's new to super great kids stories. His name is Warren Foster Sr and he's going to tell us a beautiful animal story

about friendship which comes from the Dream Time. For Indigenous Australians, Dream Time is that time long ago when the Creator first

started making the land and the people and the animals. So the animals in this story were pretty new to the earth and still finding their feet.

A bit like you if you've just started school recently or even if you're in a new class with a new

teacher. The animal in this story is a flying fox called Bungun. A flying fox

is a giant bat which has enormous wings which stretch up to six feet long which is about as tall as a refrigerator,

and they have furry bodies and long toes for gripping tree branches.

They can be seen flying around in large groups at sunset as they go off to feed on fruit and nectar and pollen.

Since we're telling animal stories right now, just before we hear from Warren, here's a little riddle for you. I want you to guess

which animal this is. It's from a poem I learned when I was in school. It's written by a poet called Rose Phileman. Which animal do you think she's

talking about? Their tails are long, their faces small, they haven't any chins at all. Their ears are pink, their teeth are white. They

run about the house at night.
