1:23.3 | And it got me thinking, you know, this is not an episode on politics, but I will comment that I don't understand any legitimate reason why an individual needs an assault rifle of any type. |
1:39.4 | And as our country typically does, as with Columbine and Sandy Hook and Parkland, people get forgotten |

1:50.2 | They start up, protests, and then it just dissipates into the black hole of politics and |
1:58.2 | negligence, I think, on the part of people who are supposed to be running our country |
2:03.9 | so it's quite unfortunate and I know we have a huge following in Texas so my heart |
2:10.5 | and Julie's heart goes out to all the families in Texas and anybody who's been affected by |

2:18.6 | And it got me thinking, I've mentioned this before that, you know, I really don't think that in all these different school shootings, people just woke up one day and said, hey, I'm going to go and kill as many people as I can. |
2:38.6 | I think that in these individuals, there has been a long, probably unnoticed, undelt with, a host of psychiatric conditions and mental health issues. |
2:55.2 | And I really think that the academic system, at least here in the United States, needs |
3:01.1 | to really do a much better job of getting more mental health professionals on board |
3:07.3 | because screening tools are available. |
