Hi welcome back to the personality hacker podcast my name is Joel Mark Witt and I'm

Antonia Dodge a couple months ago and Tony and I got a subscription to

HBO now they released a digital online version of watching

HBO basically and you can subscribe to this at least here in the United States

and watch all the

show show and we did it primarily to watch John Oliver's last week tonight. We really love that show and we started discovering some HBO programming.

We've been watching the Wire recently about the drug trade in Baltimore City and a show from the 2000s and we watched the movie last

and it was HBO movie last night called Going Clear which is about the Church of Scientology

and some of the people who have left the church and

are now basically talking about their experience of coming out of that that

church experience that religious experience it's a fascinating movie If you have HBO or you'd like to

subscribe, this is not a pitch for HBO, but it's probably worth the subscription

for just some of the shows I've already mentioned and watching that movie

going clear because I think it's a powerful movie and it really

illustrates a lot of the stuff we talk about here on Personality Hacker.

There was a moment in that movie that actually had me crying because when you separate or when you

basically come out about your experience at least with Scientology now of

course you're only hearing one side of the story.

It's a pretty compelling side of a story, but you're still only hearing one side of a story.

But they have an arrangement

if you at all mar the reputation of Scientology or if you even like go you know basically against the teaching and you've been very well entrenched you to that point. They have a arrangement that they call

disconnecting.
