One of the things from a business standpoint that I'm really proud of that I've done is I surrounded myself with really smart people.

So whether it's Ram Padmanabin, Matt Kobe, Susan Goodnow, those are the people that I work with directly on a day-to-day basis,

they are really, really smart. I think it's really, really smart that whoever takes this role has people

on board that when I look at them, I can say, hey, one day that person is probably going to

have his job. Hey, fellas, real quick, let's go to our list. Let's see how we did. Oh, let's go.

The Bulls are trying to find someone to run their basketball operation after they moved on from Acme.

Billy is still kind of in the wind a little bit.

We don't know what it is that he's going to do,

and the chances of him being the Orlando coach seem like they are lesser now after Orlando makes it into the playoffs,

and then they win game one as an eight seed.

I think that's the right place to start,

because last time we really dug in on this conversation,

we were waiting, well, we are waiting for Billy and that man, Michael Reinsdorf, to have their

conversation, and we threw it out there that maybe Billy would save the Bulls from themselves,

say it's time to walk away for the Orlando job or some other job.

And him walking away to the Orlando job does help the Bulls because this offset language where the money that he'd be making for the Bulls,

he could mitigate some of it by coaching the Orlando Magic.

Or would Billy, as I had been thinking about, maybe sense a bit of a power vacuum here

and possibly Brad Stevens himself, kick himself upstairs, or stay on as a coach for a while

and gain a little more power?
