It might match some Bulldog fans' moods, to be honest with you. It's been an eventful few days, and it's so easy to lose track of the recruiting process.

There sometimes we say, well, you know, only bad things happen to us,

and that's just simply not true.

It's simply not true at all.

And there are some people that kind of rest their own personal

insecurities on Mississippi State.

It's like we glean so much self-esteem from the Bulldogs.

When we're winning, we all feel great. When we're losing, we don't. But, you know, the recruiting is an interesting process to say the least. We're going to get into a lot of things today. A lot of you guys are kind of curious to hear where are we headed, what's happened, why did it happen, where do we go from here? I'm going to break all that down for you today. Happy to do it. Ready to be with you. I took some time this morning to get some things together. I talked to a few people just to make sure that what we're articulating to you guys is accurate. That's what we do here. We try to give you the truth that doesn't matter, good, bad, or indifferent.

But, yeah, it's been an eventful week to say the least.

Mississippi State actually, believe it or not, contrary to popular belief,

Mississippi State picked up three verbal commitments last week.

We're going to break those things down for you as well.

And also lost some guys.

And I say lost lost some of those guys

lost mississippi state i want to make sure it's important that we understand that it's a two-way

street it's like some people feel like well you know these guys spread on twitter that they decommitted

so something somebody must have done something wrong in some cases some guys just simply aren't good enough. You know, you take some commitments early on, and the next thing, you know, you don't get the benefit of spring practice or the camps, and then all of a sudden they have a disappointing senior season. And you've got to make some difficult decisions, because here's the thing. We're paying Mike Leach $5 million a year to go win us football games.

We hadn't won many this year.

And so in order for us to get to the next level, in order for us to be able to compete

in the toughest league in all the college football, the SEC West, you've got to recruit at a high

level.
