Summary

Mississippi State will see a familiar foe on Wednesday night as the Bulldogs take on LSU in the second round of the SEC tournament.


State enjoyed a bye on Tuesday and awaited the winner of the LSU/South Carolina game. As expected, LSU advanced and continues to play their way towards hosting an NCAA regional.

I prepare for a full day of coverage in Hoover, Alabama, the SEC baseball tournament.

Everything got underway on Tuesday.

And probably the most important news of the day as it relates to Mississippi State is the LSU Tigers knock off South Carolina.

Not a huge surprise there, but LSU obviously gets down early in that ballgame battles back to

win, and you knew the tigers would respond. You know, when South Carolina jumped up 5'1 in that second inning,

you knew there was a lot of baseball left. As great as it felt at the time, you just knew at some point LSU would pull even.

They eventually pull away, win the ball game.

They are almost like Kentucky in the MSU, I mean,

pardon me, an SEC basketball tournament.

You expect LSU to be playing their best baseball this time of year.

It's very rare to see the Tigers get knocked out early.

And also, too, the first time ever, number 12 seed would have won the ball game.

But South Carolina gave it a run for a while.
