Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Roberts, and as always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the magnificent Monday edition of the yard.

I have to admit, last Monday was a lot more magnificent than this one.

We're going to talk honestly and frankly about the game, but we're not going to sit here and self-load and feel sorry for ourselves and have some kind of pity party.

You can listen to other people to do that.'m not here to do that had i recorded a show

saturday night it's probably would have been worthy of deletion but i've taken some time to kind

of relax a little bit and kind of take things in context but here's the deal i'm not going to make

excuses for bad play for mississippi. That's not my gig. I'm not here to do that. I am on your side. I am

on their side too, but you know, my loyalty, obviously, it's to Mississippi State, but I'm certainly

not going to try to, you know, gloss over what was a bad showing on Saturday night.

I give Arkansas credit for winning the game, but Arkansas is not a good football team.

We lost to a bad football team.

And we did it to ourselves.

We did.

We blew it, folks.

We did. Now, and I've read, you know, and I've. Now, and I've tried to reconcile this myself and say,

well, you know, if they told you at the year we'd be one in one after two games, you'd take it.

And that's true. But that's the thing. It's like after the first game, I began to believe like all

of you that, hey, you know what?

Maybe we're ahead of schedule.

We went in and beat OSU, and listen, OSU is a good football team.

And we surprised him a little bit.

We went down there and beat him in their own backyard.
