God is building his church.

ACC is a small part of that, but what God is doing in the world right now,

you do not need to underestimate what the Spirit of God is doing when no one else is paying attention

and when everybody else might be down on the church.

The church is ready to rise up.

And we've been doing this series all summer walking through

the New Testament letter of First Peter. And we've called it built different because First Peter was

written to a scattered church that was being persecuted 2,000 years ago. So Christians who,

things have gotten difficult for them in the Greco-Roman world. And Peter's going, hey, we live in the

world, but not of the world, because God is

building a spiritual house.

And that house is not made up of bricks and wood.

That house is not made up of stones.

It's made up of broken people who are being transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

So God's building his church, and the material that he wants to use is your broken life,

is your impossibility, is your tendency to be inconsistent.

And as God molds and shapes people by the power of the gospel over time,

the church becomes the beautiful bride of Christ that we're called to be.

And so every week we're watching God breathe on the truth of His word. And my hope and my prayer today, because I do feel like

God has downloaded something very clear to me. But I know, unless the spirit of God breathes on a

willing mouth and there are willing hearts that are open to hear with spiritual ears what God has to say,

then all I'll be doing up here is making noise. So I believe God's going to speak. And what's
