Welcome, everybody. Thanks for joining me tonight. I'm going to try to remember to turn off that music so you're not hearing in the background for the rest of the show like you did last time. We've got some new features here on the stream yard board and I'm playing with them as I go. Welcome once again to the show. It's Radio Free Mormon. You know, two months ago, I was talking with a gentleman who was actually older than I am. They do exist. They're hard to

find, but they're out there. There was a guy who's older than I was, and he was talking to me in all

seriousness, and he told me of his conviction that aliens built the pyramids. Yes, aliens from

outer space built the pyramids, as in the big ones in Egypt a long time ago and he went on

to express to me probably because they had a look on my face like you've got to be kidding me

he went on to explain that the reason why is because we don't have the equipment and machinery

and technology today to build a pyramid so how could they have done it back then?

Well, I let it slide because I was trying to make a good impression. I was trying not to cause a

fight or a disruption. So I just decided to agree or at least agree by silence with this proposition.

But I've been thinking about that ever since because I did immediately

recognize this. I've heard it before. Everybody's heard this. People who believe that aliens

built the pyramids, the idea has been around for a long time. It's not the first time I ever

encountered it. But it struck me with particular force because I recognized it immediately now

as an example of

an argument, a logical fallacy, which is sometimes called the argument from personal incredulity.

I got that from Colby Reddish. What it means is it's like God of the Gaps, but it can apply to anything.
