As you guys see from the title, today we're talking about building while broken. And we're coming from the book of Nehemiah chapter 4 verses 14 through 23. So grab your journals. So while studying Nehemiah chapter 4 this morning, something that God allowed to stand out to me is the fact that when it comes to walking into the blessings that God has for you, you're going to have to build them while broken.

I believe that one of the ways the enemy tricks us is by deceiving us and making us believe that

when God calls us into a blessing, everything is just going to be laid out beautifully and we're

going to walk into it easily. And that can happen. But we also have to keep in mind that the enemy is going to try to stop you

from getting to the promised land. The enemy is going to try to stop you from walking into everything

that God has for you. So at any moment, you have to be prepared to build while broken. You have to be

prepared to understand that you're anointed, but the enemy is going to come to try to attack that anointing. And it's important for you to have this mindset so that when the attacks come, you don't waver in your face so that when the attacks come, you don't get discouraged and think that, okay, God, maybe I heard you wrong or maybe it's not meant for me to walk into this blessing. Maybe it's not meant for me to have this favor because there's a fight coming against me. The enemy is not just going to let you take dominion

or take authority over something that God has promised you he's going to try to send resistance.

And a lot of times that resistance or that spiritual warfare is confirmation that you're headed

in the right direction because the enemy wouldn't be

fighting you if you wasn't getting ready to walk into favor. The very fact that you're experiencing

spiritual warfare sometimes is because the enemy sees that you're walking in the steps of God.

The enemy is not going to attack somebody that's already out of alignment. The enemy is not going

to attack somebody that's already outside of the will of God.

When you really think about it, life sometimes felt easier when you weren't submitted to God.

When you was in the club and drinking, it felt like a blast, a ball.

I know for me, when I was in college, just going out every weekend, turning up, not praying, not pursuing God, not chasing my purpose.

It felt like life was easier because I was living in the enemy's territory. So it's just like I don't even have to attack her or try to stop her

because she ain't even in alignment with what she's anointed and called to do. So she's not fulfilling

her purpose. So she's not a threat to me when the enemy attacks you consistently

it's because he knows you're a threat to what he's trying to do kill still and destroy so while
