| 1:06.4 | because he's musically talented and business savvy. Today we're diving into what we call the one-page book launch plan. Okay, this is a fun tool that we've created. The link is in the description. You can use it for yourself. But the thing that I love about this is it creates your whole book launch and a page. And so today's going to be a little bit different. If you watched previous one with Tom Shipley, we were starting from the beginning. It's a kernel of an idea. I want to show people that this is really helpful, even if you've already started writing. And in your case, you're almost ready to send it to design and formatting and all that stuff. So we're going to get clear on a few things, your topic, your goals, your priority, your timeline, your plan. Some of this stuff you've already been doing working with one of our coaches. |
| 2:17.7 | But let me just map that. Let's get some of the easy stuff out of the way first. This is a nonfiction book, correct? Correct. Nonfiction. And then you're in editing preparing to publish. Is that correct? That's correct. Okay. Perfect. And then the number one goal for the book, I would assume, is to grow the business. grow the business, which is really, you know, for me, just I have a full-time job. I'm a creative director for a mortgage lender. I have another full-time job for this season. I'm the base player for third day. Yeah. And along the way. I mean, arenas, by the way. Going to go see him play an arena tonight. So biggest venue in Austin Tech. You know, it's such a cliche quote only because it's so overused, but it's so true. Begin with the end in mind. So I started asking myself, you know, that question last year as this tour was coming together, I've been 10 years in the business world, former bass player of Third Day. and I've been, and all of these lessons I've learned from music, I've been applying to the business world. And that's where Market Like a Rockstar was born from now hundreds of keynotes and hundreds of teaching and C hours. So I have this framework. And now I'm going back to music and I'm bringing all these lessons from the business world as I've been studying leadership and entrepreneurship and Malcolm Gladwell and Seth Godin. |
| 2:56.5 | I'm just become such a, such a fan of so many incredible people. |
| 3:01.0 | Going back to the music world, it's just, it's been unbelievable to kind of see how much it's grown and changed |
| 3:07.9 | to be back in these relationships. So really incredible. So you're the goal, the goal at the end of it |
| 3:14.5 | is I want to be in a place at the end of the tour where I go from four or five speaking gigs a year |
| 3:21.1 | to four or five speaking gigs a month and look at my pay to go from |
| 3:26.0 | where I am now to double it. So and I really think that's the key business, but I'm learning, |
| 3:32.0 | you know, that the business is me. This is the first time that I've actually completely worked for myself |
