The third way to build your life on the Bible is I build my life on the Bible.

I research it. I research it with my hands and my mouth.

Now I'll need to explain this to you. I research the Word of God with my hands and my mouth.

This is Bible study. Researching is Bible study.

Is there a difference between Bible reading and Bible study? Yes.

Reading the Bible is reading the Bible. Studying the Bible is studying the Bible.

It's not study unless you have a pen or a pencil and you're writing it down.

In fact, there are two components of study. Writing it down and talking about it with somebody else.

That's turns reading into study. When I write something down and I talk about it with somebody else,

now I am studying the scripture. That's why we believe in small groups.
