Welcome to the aggressive life.

Sometimes I've got guests on here, Dirt, that we get to do via

Zoom and that's all good. You know, you can... It's fun sometimes. It is. You can get somebody like

anywhere around. It's kind of cool. And then sometimes I get the people have, get to have people

live in the studio. And that's always better. And it's always somebody then who's local to Cincinnati.

That's right. Right. And this isn't, because that's where I am, this isn't a Cincinnati

I.E. It probably actually is the most listened to podcasts in all of Cincinnati. I don't think

there's even a second one, one even close second. But it's kind of a, well, it's called the aggressive life,

but we're also worried about the spiritual life and all that sort of thing. So we have someone

from Cincinnati. It's not because it's Cincinnati thing. It's because there's somebody in

Cincinnati that relates to the aggressive life I want to help you with. And today, that guy's

Jeff Birding. He bleeds Cincinnati.

Growing up, his favorite team was the big red machine, the Cincinnati Reds of the 1970s.

But when he had kids, their favorite team was Manchester United all the way across the ocean in England.

Jeff wanted a hometown team for the fastest growing sport in America, so he went out and started one.

Jeff is the co-CEO of FC Cincinnati.

Now in its fifth season of Major League Soccer, the team is taking off like a rocket.

Much of their success comes from the behind-the-scenes aggression of the man sitting across from me right now. Things like Daring to

dream up a soccer franchise for a city that already had two major league sports teams. Things like

going door to door in the West End neighborhood where the new TQL stadium was built, garnering

support from the longtime residents and actually soothing their fears.
