Do you ever have those times when you show up to the gym or to work or to a conversation and you realize you are outgunned and you're out of your league?

I really got what happened today when we talked to Josh and Kristi Straub.

Josh has his PhD and Kristi has multiple master's degrees.

Selina loves this part. She's from Canada.

She needs, she's got a dual citizenship anyway.

We had just an amazing time talking with them where we learned a time, we learned about fight flight or freeze response.

We also learned about what was it, hungry, angry, lonely, tired and bored.

These are usually times when we make emotionally poor decisions or turn to idols.

We also talked about how to be emotionally safe when dealing with trauma or recovering from a trauma.

We talked about how some couples will have a pornography bomb dropped in their marriage where a husband or a wife will confess to having an addiction or there might even be an infidelity or some other sort of relational trauma that will cause it to not feel emotionally safe.

So, we had an really elucidating conversation with them. We learned a ton.

How did you guys meet and tell us a little bit about what you spend your time doing and why you're the professionals that we're talking to today?

Professionals, that's not really a word we love.

We're just we're just parents. We're just a couple here.

We met actually in grad school.

We're both counselors by trade and education, but we were both.
