And today is a bit of a departure from our usual subject matter.

We're talking about golf equipment, specifically used golf equipment.

I've wanted to do an episode on this subject for a while now.

In part because it's pretty hard to get a hold of new golf clubs these days.

Obviously the supply chain debacle has affected every industry and the golf equipment business has not been spared.

So I thought it would be interesting and potentially useful to you to talk about how to build a bag of really cool affordable used clubs.

And I figured that in talking about that, we would end up exploring the history of these clubs, what they represented and overall how the equipment industry has changed in recent years.

So basically when it comes down to it, bread and butter, fried egg stuff.

And I have no doubt that the best person to do this experiment with is Ryan Barath.

Ryan works for tour experience golf or TXG, which has a popular YouTube channel you might be familiar with.

And he's an absolute encyclopedia of golf equipment, especially when you're talking about stuff from the past 25 years or so, he knows everything.
