Summary

C.S. Lewis is one of my heroes. I love his writing and thinking. Yet, I appreciate him even more because of his very difficult life. He wrote great psychology of many characters not just because of his imagination, but because of the experiences of His life which taught him to forge through the dark times to strain into the light.

0:49.5	moving from Oxford and I'm going to miss my friend so much and miss the places but there are
0:56.2	also parts of me that I'm looking so forward to returning to the States and to home and to be
1:02.4	with Clay and our sweet dog and then to receive all our kids back there. But anyway, today I have
1:09.6	such a special friend with me and many of you know him because he's been on my podcast before and I
1:15.8	just hated to leave Oxford without having one more time with my wonderful friend Michael. So
1:22.7	why don't you say hello? Hello. So just for those who haven't ever heard of you before, tell them
1:30.2	just a little bit about you and what you do and then I will quickly tell them how we met you.
1:34.7	Okay, yeah Michael Ward is my name and I live here in Oxford. I'm British, I'm English and I do a
1:41.3	lot of work on CS Lewis and I teach here at Oxford University. I'm also a professor of
1:46.2	apologetics at Houston Baptist University. I teach for them online and I, yes our connection came
1:53.6	about when your daughter Sarah came and did a course of study with me here in Oxford.
1:58.7	Many years ago and Sarah fell in love with Michael as a great friend and mentor and so we've all
2:06.1	adopted him. He is practically in the will not quite yet but we have lots of meals together and
2:14.0	spend lots of time and it's been a delight to be here this year and many of you have already
2:18.2	listened to our podcasts together and love them. And I just as I'm going through this series on
2:25.0	Dancing with My Heavenly Father, I thought this might be a really fun time to go through this podcast
