0:56.3	Thank you for having me. I am thrilled to be on your podcast. I'm a huge fan. I listen to it all
1:01.3	the time. And now I get to be on the other side of it. I know. I'm excited to talk about so many things,
1:07.2	but we have to go, we have to go back to your pastry chef days and your, your beginning.
1:13.0	So I would love to hear, like, was being a pastry chef or baking, was that something that was
1:18.2	always an interest to you?
1:19.5	So I grew up baking with my mom. Some of my fondest childhood memories were in the kitchen baking with my mom from her
1:29.9	tattered copy of the joy of cooking. And we baked all these great classic American desserts like
1:37.6	rice, crispy treats and brownies and, you know, sheetcakes and of course chocolate chip cookies.
1:46.4	And we did that because I was living overseas. We were actually living on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia for some of my,
1:53.5	you know, great school and childhood. And it was a way for me to not only, you know, spend time with my
2:00.1	mom, but it was a way for me to connect with my homeland, which I really had quite a longing for.
2:06.5	You know, I was just like a grade school kid who missed her friends at home and felt a little out of sorts.
