And welcome to issue 229 of Thebugel, with me Andy Zoltzman, the five-time European

misremembering champion. Or was it a hundred metre freestyle champion?

Yeah, no, what's that?

Live in London, the host city in 1666 of the short-lived British bakery-burning championships,

big win for the piece of a pyromaniac in that's only ever staging of that event.

And joining me from a city that has had three great fires in its repertoire,

according to Wikipedia, 1776, 1835 and 1845.

That, of course, fire fans is New York.

It's the fire starter of funny, the conflagrator of comedy, the pyro of Percy Flage,

the one-man in funno of the reverence, who will burn his barbs on the barbecue of Badinaj,

the satirical scorcher himself, John, the flamingo-gine Oliver.

Andy, no one likes these linguistic pyrotechnics more than I do as an introduction,
