I am Marianne Sullivan, and I am so pleased.

I'm super excited about this interview.

I feel like all we talk about recently is cage-free bands and politics.

And we're going to be talking about something different today.

The much more, I think, in Our Hen house is wheelhouse, because we like to interview people about all the different ways that people can find out about what's happening to animals and start expressing that in their life.

And religion is one of the most important.

So I'm so pleased to welcome Andrea Diaz.

And she has a passion for justice

and equality, or so I've been told, and always has. And that led her from the criminal justice

system to working as an investigator at factory farms, slaughterhouses. And finally, to learning

about the teachings of the Buddha, developing a meditation practice,

and becoming the executive director for Dharma Voices for Animals.

So we're going to be talking about Buddhism and animals and religion

and all my favorite things to talk about.

Hi. Thank you, Marian, for having me today.

It really is an honor to be here with you.

I'm thrilled to share more about the work we do at

DBA, the Donna Circle, which is our new monthly giving program, and hopefully teach you listeners

some ways that they can advocate for animals and Buddhist spaces. Yeah, I am really looking forward to it.
