A honeymoon period? Not at Ohio State.

All right, perhaps right now is the honeymoon period for new head coach Ryan Day. The time of the year when the Buckeyes won't be playing real games.

But when the 2019 season arrives, expectations will be extremely high. Especially for a team that is already being picked as a top-5 squad by nearly everyone in the country.

0:48.0	I guess the expectations of the Ohio State never really changed.
0:51.7	But when you really break it down, what are your expectations for the 2019 Buckeyes
0:56.7	Big 10 champions in playoff first but that would be my answer regardless of the year
1:01.7	so you know know, the standard does not get lowered because we have a new
1:06.6	coach. I've said this repeatedly since Ryan Day took over. The standard is the standard, to quote
1:11.9	Mike Tomlin, right? the buck eyes are going to be at the top of the league in our estimation every year and if we ever go into year we were like oh man I just hope we win eight or nine games and something's gone
1:23.7	horrifically wrong with the program. Let's be real blunt. But that's just the
1:27.7	standard program expectations. There's good reason for those expectations as
1:31.1	well. Obviously I think everybody's super excited that
1:33.7	Justin Fields is eligible. He's immediately going to be one of the top
1:37.0	quarterbacks in the country this year. Everybody who has really seen what he is
1:42.3	capable of doing.
1:43.5	Even in his limited showings in Georgia
1:45.4	know that this is an extremely talented passing quarterback.
1:48.3	No Stephen A Smith, just because he's a black guy
1:50.1	doesn't mean that he's a running quarterback.
