Hope everyone had a great Christmas.

Well, some late breaking news this morning.

Sounds like Kyle Whittingham is the favorite to be the new head coach at Michigan, J. Book.

Again, not a done deal yet, but you have heavy hitters like Pete Thammel and Dan Wetzel,

who are very connected, both saying Wittingham has emerged as the favorite.

Could happen pretty quick.

He's 66 years old.

He's been at Utah the last 21 years.

I've always liked him, so it's going to be weird like hating him if he's in a mason blue.

But if that does transpire, your thoughts, J.B.

To me, it looks like a situation to where Michigan, they're trying to get an adult in a room who's going to be able to manage them through all of the chaos, the chaos and all of the craziness that's going on up in Michigan.

Now, he's done a wonderful job at Utah. You have to question, is this a situation to where very similar to the Raiders,

hiring Pete Carroll, trying to just get someone in there who's going to be a stable force that

helped them navigate through these rough waters? I mean, at the age of 66, Dave, like how much is

left in the tank? When you look at the way he left Utah, it was kind of, I don't know, it was weird because

they were saying, oh, you're semi-retire or you're retiring.

He made some comments saying he doesn't want to be somewhere.

He's not wanted.

It almost sounds like Utah was trying to force him out politely to try to go into a more younger direction.
