It's headline time on Buckeye Talk. I'm Nathan Baird from Cleveland.com, along with Stephen Means, kind of counting down the top stories that we're talking about this week over at Cleveland.com slash OSU. And right off the bat bat let's go into recruiting.

Cameron Martinez was the one unsigned commitment from Ohio State's 20-20 class.

There was a lot of questions as to whether or not he was going to follow through and sign with the Buckeyes here as the late period kicks off or the regular period I should say next Wednesday and he affirmed on Tuesday that in fact he is he obviously had been getting some attention

from Ryan Day from Carrie Combs after he was hired and they were able to persuade

him if that if that needed to happen to stay with the Buckeyes why is

this important it's important because Ohio State needed to reload and its

defensive back back room obviously with Sean Wade as the only starter

returning now camera Martinez will join

Legend Kavazos, Laith and Ransom and Ryan Watts, the defensive backs in that room for Ohio

State and you know kind of re-up for the future.

I've been Sean Wade is going to be a starter but a lot of the other guys like

Cab Brown and seven banks those guys are upperclassmen as well well now so

they're probably gonna have to reload once again in

his up and coming class in 2021 but at least you know they're off to a solid

start like the only guy they lost as far as defensive backs in this 20 20 class

was Clark Phillips to Utah.

They were able to hold on to everybody else

that Jeff Halfley was recruiting before he left

and Carrie Combs came in and pretty much cleaned up the deal

with Cameron Martinez.

Martinez is one of 25 commitments in the 2020 class 24 25 I'm forgetting

the number right now and that class is 25 and that class is ranked number five in the country as the
