On Tuesday, August 11th, the Big Ten Conference

cancelled the fall football season for 2020. I'm Doug Lamorese from Cleveland.com.

Ohio State football has been playing since 1890,

but the Buckeyes will not play a fall season

because of fears around the coronavirus.

Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren announced that on Tuesday and the

PAC-12 conference soon followed suit. That came on the heels of the MAC

canceling the fall football season on Saturday, but two of the five major conferences, the Big 10 and the PAC 12, will not play football this fall.

Ohio State clearly was a major national title contender.

That is now off the table for the fall and Ohio State Coach Ryan Day,

athletic director Gene Smith, they're trying to figure out what's next,

but there's not much more news you need to know than that.

Penn State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio State, Nebraska, some of the great programs of college football in the nation will be
