Welcome to the Buck Brief. We have a house bill to prevent a government shutdown to continue funding of the government with the new speaker. Meet the new speaker. Is he the same as the old speaker? Pretty much. We'll discuss that. Plus Eric Adams in New York City

is telling parents that they may have to volunteer for safety duty at schools because of budget cuts, because there's billions of dollars going to migrants

who aren't supposed to be in the city in the first place.

It's what you get for being a sanctuary city.

There's some life lessons that I see in all this.

You could be one of the richest men on the planet,

one of the successful men of the planet,

and well, you're still a guy at the end of the day and you still have the same

weaknesses and vanity and everything else. So we're gonna talk about all this but let's start because this is first and foremost

about politics with the House of Representatives working together,

the new speaker, Mike Johnson, who replaced Kevin McCarthy, he has come out now and worked with the Democrats to fund the government for a while.

So, you have people who are upset about this.

Because he did really what McCarthy did.

He partnered with Democrats to pass funding

uh bill

no spending cuts now i know what people are going to say

oh he just got this budget. He just started in the job.
