Carmelo Anthony found guilty of murder in the stabbing of Austin Metcath.

This is the big breaking news.

Came down right after we finished radio today on Clay and Buck.

Let me give you the details here.

Carmelo Anthony, like I said, found guilty of murder.

Took the jury less than three hours of deliberation. Now, this was the incident at a Texas high school

track meet where Anthony had gone to the wrong tent where it's like the team's bench almost and he was asked to leave

and go to the tent for his school, which was also there. And he refused and he then became

belligerent. He didn't want to obey the rules like everybody else. He didn't want to respect

the rules and traditions of the day, and he pulled out

a knife and stabbed Austin Metcalfe in the heart. And look, murder is the right verdict here. I just

want to say that's clear. And the effort to defend this guy was preposterous, quite honestly, meaning the arguments

that were offered up. It was absolutely not a case of self-defense. It was clear, cold-hearted

murder that occurred here. And we don't know yet what the penalty will be in terms of years in prison, but I believe

it's a minimum of five years all the way up to 20-something years.

My guess is the judge will probably go somewhere in the middle, 10 to 15 years in prison

for this murder.

But it's good that this came out the way that it did.

There were eyewitnesses who showed that there was simply no legal right at all of self-defense
