Time for another edition of the Carolina Insider Jones and Adam here with you and a special edition of the show. Obviously, some big news around Carolina

athletics as Carolina announced a leadership change in men's basketball. And to help us talk about

that is the director of athletics, of course, Bubba Cunningham, an executive associate

athletic director, Steve Newmark. Guys, thank you all both for joining us.

I know this has been a difficult decision and a difficult day.

Bubba, I'll start with you.

Kind of take us through what got us to this point on Tuesday evening.

And, you know, I get to come in here quite a bit.

And 99% of the time, I say,

being the AD of Carolina is a great job. Today was a really tough day to be the AD of Carolina.

There's not a person I've ever encountered that knows Hubert Davis that doesn't just say,

what a wonderful human being. And to having worked here now, I've been here 15 years,

he's been here 14. And to see him as an assistant coach, as an head coach, and to have the

responsibility to make a decision about the future of the basketball program, you know, you

just don't take that lightly. And I give him a ton of credit for the way he's led our program, the way he's represented

the university, his integrity, his character, his family.

Everything about the way he goes about his life has been inspirational to me and I think

to the university community.

But it was a very, very difficult decision, but it was one that ultimately I thought had to be made.
